Released: 10th October 2025
After many years of dedicated service and hard work within the Borealis Alliance, Reynir Sigurdsson and Tanel Rautits will be concluding their time with the Alliance as their contracts come to an end later this year.
Both have made significant contributions throughout their tenure, playing key roles in supporting our mission and advancing our shared goals across the nine member states - and where they have tried to enhance the efficiency, safety, and sustainability of air traffic management across some of Europe’s busiest and most complex airspaces.
Reynir and Tanel's professionalism, commitment, and collaboration have been deeply valued by colleagues and partners alike.
As part of our ongoing strategic development, the Board is now looking for a new alliance Director, to bring in new perspectives and expertise for the next phase of our work. Recruitment is now underway, and the job posting isl available on the website's of our member states - plus on LinkedIn.
“I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to Reynir and Tanel for their hard work, dedication, and contribution over the years. They leave behind a strong foundation and lasting impact that will continue to benefit our organisation and its stakeholders”, says Thorsten Elkjær, Chairman of the Board.
Reynir and Tanel will remain in their positions until the end of the year, and thereafter we wish them both all the very best in their future endeavours.
