Borealis Alliance Board Approves Updated Business Plan and Welcomes New Board Leadership
During last week’s Airspace World 2026, the Borealis Alliance Board convened to approve the Alliance’s updated business plan for the year.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening collaboration across the Alliance, leveraging the strong network and trust built over the years. This enhanced cooperation will enable Borealis to better respond to the challenges of an increasingly complex operating environment while continuing to deliver the highest standards of service to its customers.
The meeting also marked an important leadership transition within the Borealis Alliance Board. The Alliance extends its sincere gratitude to the outgoing Chair Thorsten Elkjær (Naviair) for his significant contribution in driving progress and leading change.
At the same time, Borealis welcomes the newly appointed Chair Raine Luojus (Fintraffic) and Vice Chair Saulius Batavičius (Oro Navigacija). Their leadership will be instrumental in maintaining momentum and guiding the Alliance’s strategic direction in the years ahead.
We are grateful to AVIANS for hosting the meeting in their booth in Airspace World 2026 in Lisbon.
